Experience
Will advises clients on a breadth of insurance coverage disputes. In particular he assists policyholders across a range of sectors in relation to contentious policy claims and recovery actions. He also has experience of defending professional negligence claims against insurance brokers.
Will also assists clients on non-contentious policy and contract drafting. He has a particular specialism in Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance in which he has advised on a number of significant transactions as well as assisting on the growing number of claims under these policies.
Will has completed secondments to Marsh & McLennan Companies where he worked with the in-house litigation team as well as to our Singapore office.
Will's experience includes advising:
- global mining company in respect of its liability, property and D&O insurance claims arising out of a catastrophic loss
- major insurance broker in relation to professional negligence claim arising out of subsea cable failures on an offshore windfarm
- private equity company in relation to a W&I insurance claim in respect of the acquisition of a pharmaceutical services company
- aerospace company in relation to property and business interruption claims arising out of a warehouse fire
Background
Will graduated from the University of Oxford with an MA in Classics. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2018.
