Lucy joined the Alternative Legal Services (ALT) team in 2017, with responsibility for the strategic management of the team in the Greater China region.
She leads a team of experienced lawyers and law graduates, all of whom are bilingual Mandarin and English speakers.
Lucy collaborates with colleagues across the firm's network to offer a tailored, cost-competitive approach to the document-intensive aspect of contentious and non-contentious legal work, including cross-border disputes, corporate investigations, due diligence, capital markets transactions and commercial contract reviews.
Lucy first joined Herbert Smith Freehills as an Associate in 2004, advising on a number of cross-border M&A transactions and foreign investment projects in China. She then went on to practise at a number of major international law firms, latterly as a Professional Support Lawyer, before re-joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2017.
Lucy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Peking University, as well as a Master's Degree in Law from University College London.
