Our whistleblowing programme

At Herbert Smith Freehills, we are committed to conducting our business with honesty and integrity. We expect all Partners and employees to maintain high standards of behaviour in accordance with our vision and values, our International Standards of Conduct and our internal policies.

In order to uphold these standards and ensure that any potential misconduct is fully investigated and acted on where necessary, we have in place a whistleblowing programme. The purpose of this programme is to encourage people to raise concerns of this nature as soon as possible, and to feel safe in doing so. We treat all concerns raised seriously and sensitively, and strictly prohibit all forms of retaliation or victimisation in response to a person raising a concern through this programme.

About FairCall

FairCall is Herbert Smith Freehills' confidential reporting service, managed for us by an independent third party (KPMG). FairCall is provided for use by employees, ex-employees, past and present contractors and suppliers, and the close family members and dependents of all these groups. Through FairCall, you can report suspected fraud, unlawful or unsafe behaviour and other serious misconduct. FairCall is available 24 hours a day, can be used in multiple languages, and offers the option to report concerns anonymously. The information that you provide via the FairCall portal will be reviewed by KPMG in complete confidence. A report is then prepared for the senior management of the firm, so that concerns can be evaluated and followed-up as necessary.

If you use this service, please keep note of the Report ID and Password you receive after submitting a report. This will enable you to log back in. We may contact you via this web portal should we require additional information, or to provide you with an update regarding your report.
