Following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Herbert Smith Freehills hosted the seventh edition of the International Negotiation Competition (INC) at the National Law University, Delhi on 9 – 11 September 2022.

The competition provides an opportunity for law students from across the globe to practice and improve their negotiation skills through carefully structured simulations and to compete in a truly diverse and international environment.

The seventh edition saw 26 teams from seven countries, including Australia, India, Japan, Nigeria, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the UK, participating. After a tight tussle in the final round, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law was crowned as the overall winning team while National Law University Odisha emerged as the runner-up.

INC is part of Herbert Smith Freehills' wider commitment to the Indian legal market and is considered to be the biggest event of its kind in Asia.
