Yevgen advises clients on a number of EU law matters with a particular focus on EU competition law, including antitrust and merger control. His experience includes working on complex international mergers, antitrust and cartel investigations, and distribution agreements. Yevgen has particular experience in the pharmaceuticals, chemicals, manufacturing, energy, and TMT sectors.
In the field of trade law, Yevgen’s experience includes advising on trade defence instruments in the steel and chemicals sectors. Yevgen also advises on a number of EU regulatory matters including energy, environment, and pharmaceutical.
Yevgen's experience includes advising:
- a major pharmaceutical company in connection with antitrust lawsuit and FTC investigation in the US regarding exclusionary rebates and other exclusionary practices in pharmaceutical sector
- a number of multi-national companies in fiber optics, mining, metals trading, and petrochemicals sectors on EU and US antitrust law implications of horizontal cooperation agreements and joint ventures
- a number of multi-national companies in relation to merger control filings in various jurisdictions, including sectors such as chemicals, engineering services, agro commodities-trading, mining, optical retail, oilfield services, and hotel accommodation
- a major EU steel association and steel producing companies in connection with the EU steel Safeguard investigation, and several anti-dumping investigations concerning various steel products
Yevgen graduated from the University of Ghent with a master’s degree in law. Yevgen also obtained LL.M. degrees from King's College London, and Columbia Law School.
Yevgen is a member of the Brussels Bar and the New York State Bar.
