Vincent specialises in securitisation and structured finance transactions and in banking and insurance regulations.

Vincent has built significant expertise advising arrangers and originators on structuring and leading domestic and international financing transactions backed by a diverse range of asset classes.

Vincent has long-standing experience collaborating with clients and advising on the securitisation of trade receivables, factoring off-balance sheet financing and ABCPs, ABS. His dealings with clients include high-profile transactions involving secured funding transactions, whole business securitisation, RMBS and project bonds. 

Vincent advises credit institutions and insurers on banking, investment, insurance, asset management and funds regulatory regulations. He also advises his clients on restructuring and resolution and credit institutions M&A matters. He regularly advises FinTech and insurers on financial and investment regulations and on the setting-up of their platforms in France.

Vincent is an active contributor to legal reviews and publications.

His expertise is also highlighted by his role in the modernisation of the new Moroccan securitisation law.

Background

Vincent holds a Master's Degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law (Maîtrise Droit des Affaires) from Maine-Le Mans-Laval University (1998) as well as a Master's Degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law (DJCE, DESS Droit des Affaires) from Poitiers University (1999).

He also holds a Master degree in French law and English law (DEA en Droit Privé) from Poitiers and Bristol Universities (2000).

Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Vincent worked for 12 years at another leading international firm, during which he spent 3 years in their structured finance team in London.
