Associate (Nigeria)

Tsola is a dual-qualified associate (England and Wales and Nigerian) in the firm’s corporate practice focusing on energy and infrastructure.



Prior to joining HSF, Tsola completed a secondment at an international energy company (BP) in its upstream legal team. Prior to this, she gained varied experience across different practices including project finance and development, financial structuring and banking & finance.  She has experience advising governments and companies on transactions and projects in Africa, with a focus on oil and gas projects. 

Prior to joining the Corporate Energy team at HSF, Tsola's experience includes:

  • advising the South Africa's stated-owned Strategic Fuel Fund on a Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement in relation to Block B2, South Sudan
  • acted as local counsel for a West African government on the drafting, negotiation and execution of definitive agreements for monetization of gas from its offshore fields and the construction of a pipeline from its offshore assets to its onshore facilities
  • seconded to BP upstream team: Advised on the joint venture between BP and PetroChina from the development and operation of the Rumaila oil field in Iraq


Tsola gained a LLB (Hons) and LPC from the University of Sheffield and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. She is qualified to practice in England and Wales (September 2021) and Nigeria (December 2017).
