Tess Blackie

Tess is responsible for supervising teams of legal analysts and solicitors to deliver high quality legal review services on litigation, arbitration, internal and external investigations, contentious regulatory, and due diligence matters for the firm’s clients.

Tess is experienced in developing efficient processes and utilising legal technology to provide clients with innovative and cost-competitive solutions in respect to high-volume and document intensive legal work.

Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2019, Tess was the senior practitioner in a personal injury firm where she led the team in developing its practice, mitigating inefficiencies and improving stakeholder relations. Her work was focused on achieving excellent outcomes tailored to her client’s interests and objectives.

Background

Tess holds Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of International Relations degrees from Deakin University.

Tess is admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
