Suzanne Cowan

With over 14 years PQE, as Head of Corporate and Commercial for the firm's ALT UK and EMEA teams, Suzanne has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial matters. She leads teams providing end-to-end managed legal service solutions to a wide ranging client and sector base, including numerous large financial institutions, asset managers, global technology and consumer companies.

Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Suzanne worked in private practice roles at both an American international law firm (London based), in addition to a role in the Belfast team of a leading international law firm, before taking on a director level, in-house, role for a financial services company, with responsibility for, amongst other things, all requisite legal and regulatory input and requirements.

Suzanne has been able to combine her subject matter expertise with the project management and client delivery skillset acquired working within the Alternative Legal Services sector, to grow and lead a multi-disciplinary ALT Corporate team, with a core focus on driving growth and efficiency within Commercial Contracting, ECM and M&A.
