Samara is a finance and projects lawyer with a particular focus on finance and project finance in the energy, infrastructure, natural resources and banking sectors. Since 2017, she has been based in the Moscow office and has particular experience in advising on difficult geopolitical energy and infrastructure projects, as well as advising on lenders, sponsors and borrowers in respect of syndicated and bilateral loans, real estate finance and acquisition and leveraged financings.

Nord Stream 2 A.G. on the €9 billion Nord Stream 2 sub-sea pipeline project through Russian, Finnish, Swedish, Danish and German territorial waters
South Stream Transport B.V. on the TurkStream sub-sea gas pipeline project for the development of two offshore gas pipelines between Russia and Turkey via the Black Sea
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk as the project company's legal adviser in connection with construction, procurement and financing of a gas processing plant in Amur region
VTB Group on providing an approximately €1.1 billion syndicated financing to Kazakhstan mining companies (Altynalmas group and Kazakhaltyn group).
Samara holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong/University of Queensland, and a graduate diploma of Legal Practice from Australian National University. Since 2013, Samara has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland, Australia. Prior to joining HSF in 2017, she practised banking and finance law in Australia.
