Shu Ching is a senior associate in the Singapore energy team.  

Shu Ching is an energy lawyer with in-house and private practice experience in a variety of energy-related development projects and transactions. She has worked on matters across the energy sector involving traditional oil & gas, LNG and sustainable fuels, including hydrogen and ammonia.

Earlier in her career, she was a senior in-house attorney with TotalEnergies (previously Anadarko) working on the Mozambique LNG project. During her time with the Mozambique LNG project, Shu Ching provided legal support in relation to the project’s long-term LNG sale and purchase agreements with key foundation buyers in various jurisdictions including China, France, Japan, UK, India and Indonesia, leading up to the project taking final investment decision in 2019. Shu Ching was also involved in the project’s LNG vessel procurement and tender process as well as in relation to corporate governance and administration of the project joint venture entity.

Prior to joining HSF, she was an associate in the energy team of an international law firm. She has also spent time on secondment to Chevron’s Asia, Europe, Middle East & Africa Legal department in Singapore where she was involved in all aspects of Chevron’s downstream business.
