Ricardo is an associate in the finance practice in the Madrid office.

He advises banks, financial entities, financial investors, private equity funds, alternative lenders, borrowers and sponsors on all type of structured finance transactions including acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, project finance, restructuring and refinancing transactions.

Background

He has a dual degree in Law and Business administration by IE University (Spain), partially studied at Robert H. Smith Business School -University of Maryland (USA), and a master's degree for Admission to the Bar by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain). He speaks Spanish and English. He is a member in the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM – Madrid Bar Association)

  • Cain and FREO on the refinancing of one of the assets (Costa Brava Building in Madrid) acquired as part of the Juno Portfolio (a joint venture formed in 2019 for the acquisition and refurbishment of various real estate assets), including the implementation of a new asset and development management structure for the refurbishment and repositioning of the asset in the office market
  • Arcmont Asset Management and a group of RCF lenders, on a facilities agreement, granted to Fremman Capital, for the acquisition of the Palex Group, a leading distribution company in the hospital and healthcare sector
  • a syndicate of lenders including ING, Banco Santander, CaixaBank, Targo Bank, Tresmares, Amundi, Alantra, among others, on the refinancing of the debt of Garnica Group, the global leader in plywood industry, participated by ICG
  • Cubico Sustainable Investments on two complex refinancing transactions, involving €219 and €198 million facilities agreements, subject to Spanish law and granted by an international syndicate of lenders, to Andasol-1 Central Termosolar Uno and Andasol-2 Central Termosolar Dos, companies owned by Cubico Sustainable Investments Spain with the main purpose to refinance the existing financing of Andasol-1 and Andasol-2, a 100MW operational concentrated solar plants (CSP) plants (50MW each one) located in Granada, Spain
