Rebecca advises on investment acquisitions and disposals, development projects and financing transactions.

Rebecca has acted for a range of clients including developers, UK real estate funds, other institutional investors, corporate occupiers and banks.

Rebecca advises on a wide range of commercial real estate matters including all non-contentious aspects of landlord and tenant matters, freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals (including infrastructure work), and has experience advising across office, industrial and retail sectors. Rebecca also has experience dealing with the real estate aspects of corporate and financial transactions, acting for both funders and borrowers.

Background

Rebecca joined Herbert Smith Freehills in September 2021, having qualified at Wedlake Bell in September 2020. Prior to this, Rebecca spent time working as a paralegal at River Island in their in-house property team at head office.

  • advising British Land and its JV Partner (a 50:50 joint venture which owns the wider Broadgate Estate) on all aspects of asset management and development projects at the Broadgate Estate in the City of London
  • advising Federated Hermes on all aspects of landlord and tenant matters at various London office and retail premises and acquisitions/disposals, including the acquisition of a multi-let retail premises in central Nottingham for £21 million
  • advising Transmission Capital Partners on the bid of an offshore wind farm and onshore substation site
  • leading the real estate due diligence for the corporate acquisition of a national property management company for £60 million
