Phoebe resolves complex commercial disputes in a variety of sectors.

Phoebe is an Associate in our London Disputes team with a focus on complex commercial disputes, often with a cross-border element. She supports clients across the energy, infrastructure and technology sectors.

Her experience encompasses various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation in the English High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal, and international arbitrations under the LCIA and HKIAC rules. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Phoebe has previously spent time on secondment to Herbert Smith Freehills' Hong Kong office where she worked in our Asia Disputes team.


Phoebe is a dual British and Australian national and was born and raised in Hong Kong. She was educated at King's College London, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree.

  • acting for a leading Korean bank in an HKIAC arbitration concerning the recovery of a substantial investment in a Jersey based derivative-linked securities fund
  • representing a multinational commodity trading and mining company in its successful application for summary judgment against a state-owned oil and gas company
  • acting for a large pharmaceutical company in an LCIA arbitration concerning a tax issue arising from its divestment of a subsidiary
  • advising a major airline in relation to a greenwashing complaint
