Experience
Nikita is a commercial disputes lawyer and works with clients on high value, complex, high profile and commercially sensitive insurance litigation and arbitration. She assists policyholders, insurers and brokers with claims under insurance policies, with particular experience in business interruption and directors and officers insurance policies. She also has experience in advising on general commercial disputes in areas ranging from professional negligence to competition follow-on damages.
Nikita is focused on delivering strong commercial outcomes and has developed close relationships with some of the firm’s key clients.
Nikita's experience includes advising:
- the Financial Conduct Authority in its ground-breaking business interruption insurance test case for losses arising out of COVID-19, both at first instance and in the Supreme Court
- one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies on an arbitration in relation to a directors and officers insurance policy claim following litigation brought against directors for misstatements made in relation to a drug
- a European Truck Manufacturer with regard to competition follow-on damages claims commenced in the UK and across the European Union
- Single Buoy Moorings Inc in Commercial Court proceedings on a US$1.3 billion construction all risks insurance policy claim concerning the Yme platform in the North Sea
