Experience

Nigel specialises in investment fund establishment work. Acting for asset managers, the funds they manage and the investment banks and brokers active in money raising in the funds sector, he has been involved in numerous London and Euronext listed public fund launches, secondary capital raisings, takeovers, proxy battles, capital reorganisations and reconstructions. He also undertakes private fund formation work. Nigel has extensive experience of a wide variety of fund structures for a wide range of asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity, hedge and other investment strategies. His practice also includes regulatory and other advisory work for asset managers, the funds under their management and their boards of directors and institutional investors.

Selected experience includes advising:

  • BAML, Deutsche Bank, J & E Davy and Bank of Ireland in their role as joint bookrunners on the IPO of Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate plc
  • Goldman Sachs International and CVC Credit Partners on the design and IPO of CVC Credit Partners European Opportunities Limited and the admission of its shares to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange
  • BioPharma Credit plc on its IPO and the admission of its shares to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange and on its secondary fund raisings
  • Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited on its IPO and the admission of its shares to trading on the Specialist Funds Segment of the London Stock Exchange's main market, on its secondary fund raisings and entry into borrowing facilities and its subsequent migration from the SFS to the Official List and to the premium segment of the main market of the London Stock Exchange
  • JPMorgan Global Core Real Assets Limited on its IPO and admission to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange

  • Polar Capital Global Financials Trust on its tender offer and extension of life
