Natasha Hyde
Natasha is a senior associate in our London real estate team and specialises in planning, consents and environment law.
Natasha has significant experience of advising on the consenting and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining the firm Natasha was the in-house legal counsel advising on planning and environment matters for Nuclear Waste Services and EDF Nuclear New Build. Natasha's roles in-house allowed her to develop a broad range of experience and gave significant insight into the wider considerations of developers. She has experience advising on planning and environment related litigation in-house which has given her a clear understanding of the priorities and communication required by developers facing these challenges.
She provides strategic and practical pre-application advice, as well as assistance with the negotiation of planning applications, section 106 and highways agreements, environmental impact assessment, habitats regulations, permitted development rights, environmental permits, licences and consents, planning conditions and compulsory acquisition.
Her experience on the HPC, SZC and GDF projects mean she is comfortable with novel and bespoke as well as business as usual and acutely understands the need for practical advice and value for money.

- Sizewell C on the consenting of a new nuclear power station including the DCO, environmental permits, nuclear site licence and additional planning permissions and working closely with the financing and proposed delivery teams
- Hinkley Point C on the construction of a new nuclear power station including implementing and varying the DCO and environmental consents and working closely with the delivery team
- EDF on a range of compulsory acquisition, planning and environment related litigation and threatened litigation
- Nuclear Waste Services on the geological disposal facility project for nuclear waste which requires explicit community consent, including advising on consenting strategy, risk areas and setting the project up for success
- Gatwick Airport on its development consent proposals to bring the existing Northern Runway into routine use
