Matthew Bates

Matt joined Herbert Smith Freehills as a trainee in 2018. Since qualifying into the Real Estate department in 2020, Matt has advised on an extensive range of commercial real estate matters including investment acquisitions and disposals, development projects, financings and landlord and tenant matters.   Matt has worked for a range of clients including property companies, institutional investors, charities and Government-owned companies.

Background

Matthew graduated from the University of Warwick in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. Matthew is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
