Lucy is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (NSW, Australia) in the Disputes team based in Hong Kong.
She has experience representing clients in a wide range of litigation, international arbitration and contentious regulatory matters, across various industries and locations. She has also assisted multinationals in managing compliance risk arising in a complex regulatory environment across Asia.
Lucy's experience includes:
- representing a multinational in a HKIAC arbitration for a cross-border contractual dispute
- conducting anti-bribery internal investigations (including investigations under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other applicable anti-corruption laws on behalf of a Fortune-500 pharmaceutical company)
- representing a global insurance and reinsurance broker in class action proceedings in relation to a professional negligence claim arising from a global property and liability insurance program
Lucy was formerly based in the Sydney office of Herbert Smith Freehills, and was previously seconded to the Hong Kong office.
Lucy has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies (Year in Asia) from the Australian National University. She also studied Mandarin at Peking University and at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University. Lucy is admitted to practice in NSW, Australia.
