Lucy has experience of working with clients on a wide range of commercial disputes, including litigation, arbitration and advisory work. She has acted for a variety of clients across sectors including telecommunications, financial services and banking.
Lucy recently spent a year on secondment in the litigation team at Telefonica UK Limited. During this time she advised on and managed a broad range of matters involving contractual, regulatory, consumer and data protection issues.
Lucy has a particular interest in data protection and is currently on secondment to Herbert Smith Freehills' TMT and data protection team.
Lucy's experience includes advising:
- Telefonica UK Limited in relation to a number of disputes and regulatory matters
- Tarek Investments Limited in relation to its high profile dispute relating to the Aman Hotels business
- Marathon Asset Management in relation to arbitral claims for breach of fiduciary duty against one of its co-founders
- various clients in relation to their preparations for the EU's General Data Protection Regulation.
Lucy holds an MA in law from the University of Cambridge and trained with Herbert Smith Freehills. She was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2013 and has been a solicitor advocate since 2014.
