Lyn heads up the Alternative Legal Services Disputes practice across UK, US and EMEA and manages ALT New York team.
Having worked in Herbert Smith Freehills' Belfast office since 2012, Lyn maintains overall responsibility for the delivery of legal and technology services within the Alternative Legal Services Disputes Practice as well as leading the ALT New York team. In her role, Lyn manages an international team of lawyers, legal analysts, eDiscovery and legal technology specialists in Belfast, London, New York and Johannesburg in the delivery of an expanding range of innovative Disputes service offerings for clients.
Lyn considers it a primary strategic objective to respond innovatively to client demand and changing market conditions and the Alternative Legal Services team works strategically with the firm's international Disputes practice to develop bespoke solutions and products for clients.
Lyn has led three major Employee and Community Engagement projects in collaboration with Arts and Business Northern Ireland, for which HSF has won three awards; and leads ALT's Race Champion's network across UK, US and EMEA as Partner Race Champion.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Lyn was a partner in a large Northern Ireland firm heading up the dispute resolution practice, and in addition to 20 years' experience in dispute resolution she has considerable people and project management experience gained in senior manager/lawyer roles throughout her career to date.
