Luis is an associate in the Dispute Resolution practice in Madrid. He has experience in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and insolvency proceedings.
Luis' experience involves the participation in the advice and defence of the interests of a wide range of clients; including banks, funds, listed enterprises, individuals and companies in the energy, tourism and construction sectors; in pre-litigation matters, civil and commercial litigation proceedings, as well as arbitration and insolvency proceedings.
Luis has a degree in Law and a degree in International Relations awarded by Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid (ICADE). He also holds a Master's Degree in Access to the Law Profession (LLM) from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
In addition to Spanish and Catalan as his native languages, Luis is highly fluent in English.
Luis joined Herbert Smith Freehills in February 2022 in the Dispute Resolution department, focused on litigation, arbitration and insolvency proceedings.
Before joining the firm as junior associate, he worked in one of the major Spanish law firms in Madrid during two years and a half, and did internships in other well-known firms while combining it with his years of career training.
