Kengyi specialises in commercial dispute resolution and international arbitration.

Kengyi has experience in the conduct of commercial litigation and various forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She has supported clients from a wide range of industry sectors on disputes involving jurisdictions across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Her recent experience includes a particular focus on insurance disputes and she has worked on matters in relation to policy wordings, coverage issues, and insurance aspects of corporate transactions.

Background

She is licensed to advise in Japan as a Registered Foreign lawyer (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi), and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to joining the disputes team in Japan, she trained and worked in the London and Tokyo offices of a global law firm.

She speaks English and Chinese (Mandarin) fluently.
