Experience
Katherine specialises in financial services law and regulation, including banking, securities and asset management. She advises financial institutions on regulatory change projects, perimeter issues, prudential classification and impact, conduct of business and general supervisory and compliance requirements. More recently, Katherine has been particularly focused on assisting international banks and investment firms on negotiating the transition to post-Brexit business models.
Background
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills Katherine has practised in other leading UK and US law firms and has also spent time in-house at a global investment bank. Before becoming a solicitor Katherine worked for several years in regulatory policy at the Ministry of Justice and Law Society.
