Background
Junyeon graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from Seoul National University and a juris doctor degree from the New York University School of Law.
Before law school, Junyeon served as a foreign service officer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea. She is licensed in New York and in Japan as a Registered Foreign Lawyer (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi). She is fluent in English, Korean and Japanese.

- represented LG Energy Solution in a Section 337 investigation involving misappropriation of trade secrets claims related to lithium-ion batteries, resulting in a US$1.8 billion settlement for the client
- represented Sumitomo Electric Industries in its defence against two multi-district class actions alleging a global bid-rigging and price-fixing conspiracy
