Experience
Julia qualified into the dispute resolution team in September 2018, and has worked on a range of commercial disputes, encompassing litigation and international arbitration, contractual, shareholder and joint venture disputes, and fraud, as well as private client disputes, including disputes between ultra-high-net-worth families. Julia is based in our London office, having previously spent time on secondment to the firm's Hong Kong office and to Man Group.
Julia's experience involves advising:
- a major Russian mining and metallurgical business on an LCIA arbitration and proceedings in Botswana and South Africa relating to the acquisition by a Botswanan company of mining interests
- members of ultra-high-net-worth families on disputes relating to family companies, deceased estates and mentally incapacitated persons
- the mental health committee of a mentally incapacitated ultra-high-net-worth individual on disputes involving her assets and the terms of her will
- a major UK technology start-up in respect of a shareholder dispute
Background
Julia holds an English and European Law degree (First Class Hons) from Queen Mary, University of London. She speaks Hungarian, German and English.
