Experience
Joshua works on a wide range of commercial disputes and potential disputes, spanning a variety of different sector areas, with many being international in nature. In particular, Joshua has worked for clients in the energy and technology sectors
Joshua is based in our London office having previously completed a six month secondment to one of the firm's major TMT clients.
Joshua's experience includes advising:
- Post Office on compensation claims by criminally convicted postmasters, schemes for other affected individuals and a series of select committee and other government inquiries following the successful settlement of Post Office's highly publicised class action relating to defects in its computer system
- an international oil and gas company in relation to a claim in the Chancery Division of the High Court in relation to allegations of breach of contract and breach of confidence
Background
Josh graduated with a 1st Class degree in History from the University of Southampton in 2015. He subsequently completed his Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2016-2018 before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2018 and being admitted as a solicitor in September 2020.
