Jin-Bum specializes in the examination of complex cases of white-collar-crime. In particular, this includes conducting internal investigations and advising the companies concerned.
One of the main focuses of his activities is the representation of companies that have been damaged by cases of fraud, corruption and breach of trust. This includes the tracing and seizure of assets, the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of claims for damages as well as the support of investigations by the public prosecutor.
Furthermore, Jin-Bum advises companies in the handling of internal compliance incidents and their consequences. This includes, in particular, the representation and defense in investigations by regulatory bodies. In addition, Jin-Bum also advises companies preventively in compliance matters.

Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Jin-Bum worked for a German market leading law firm in Frankfurt which focuses on compliance and internal investigations. During his legal clerkship he worked for international law firms in Germany and Korea.
