Harriet specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, with specific experience in banking and financial services. Harriet is based in our London office but has spent time on secondment to the firm's Tokyo office.
Harriet's experience includes advising:
- a major UK bank on claims arising out of the alleged mis-selling of interest rate hedging products
- a financial institution in relation to a potential bribery and corruption claim threatened by a sovereign wealth fund
- a Korean private equity firm in an ICC arbitration claim for unpaid consideration under an SPA, with counterclaims for fraud, breach of contract and misrepresentation
- Vedanta Resources in an UNCITRAL arbitration claim against India under the UK-India Bilateral Investment Treaty
Harriet graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in English Language and Literature and then completed her GDL at City University, London. She qualified and practised as a barrister at a leading common law set of chambers in London before completing her Accelerated LPC in 2016 and re-qualifying as a solicitor in September 2018.
