Hamish's experience includes advising:
- a law firm in defending proceedings against it and a former partner for fraud, including appearing in the High Court on an interim application
- a law firm on its liability for fraudulent activities of a former partner, including litigation strategy and appearing in court on interim applications
- one of the world's leading mining companies on all aspects of insurance recoveries following a major disaster
- a charity on its insurance coverage for development of sites in London and Manchester as calisthenics gyms, constructed using metal from knives confiscated by the police in order to raise awareness and help tackle knife crime
Hamish studied history at Magdalen College, Oxford graduating with a First class degree in 2013. He obtained a Distinction in his Graduate Diploma in Law and an Outstanding in his Bar exams. He was called to the Bar in 2015 and completed pupillage at 7 King's Bench Walk, before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2017.
