Ghislaine is a commercial and transactional lawyer who advises on a range of commercial, IT, technology and data protection matters across a broad range of sectors. She has experience working with clients on various projects, including mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions, joint ventures and data protection compliance programmes.
As a dual qualified lawyer, Ghislaine was admitted to the New York Bar in January 2018 and became a UK solicitor in April 2021. She has worked at HSF’s Paris, London and New York offices advising clients in the technology, media, telecom and energy sectors. She works in English and in French, and has experience across the EMEA region, the Americas and other emerging markets. Ghislaine was recently seconded as part of her training contract to British American Tobacco, this experience enabled her to gain insight into the dynamics of in-house legal work and to use that knowledge to better meet her clients’ needs.
Ghislaine is interested in innovative technologies, with a particular focus on legal technology, blockchain, FinTech, connected and autonomous vehicles.
Ghislaine’s experience includes advising:
- Bharti and its consortium with the UK Government (through the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy), on their USD $1 billion acquisition of OneWeb, the US-based company that builds a constellation of satellites to enable global broadband access, in connection with its US court-supervised Chapter 11 sale process
- KodyPay, a UK fintech start up, on its seed series financing round and partnership with a tech accelerator
- A FTSE 100 FMCG company on drafting and negotiating framework agreements with three leading global market research providers for its global panel
- an investment arm of a major publishing company on its investment into Faethm, an Australian artificial intelligence technology company, as part of its Series A capital raise
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in English Law and French Law at King’s College London and the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris in 2015, Ghislaine received her Master’s in Business and Economics from Sciences Po Paris and obtained a Master of Laws from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2017.
