He headed the London Corporate practice 2010-2012 and has led teams on major deals for over 20 years. He led the firm's talent management programme and served as chairman on the partnership promotion committee.

- easyJet on a range of transactions, regulatory matters and governance
- TUI Travel plc, the leading UK travel group, on its creation and ultimate merger with TUI AG
- Hammerson on a broad spread of acquisition, joint ventures and financings
Background
David joined Herbert Smith in 1986 and became a partner in 1994. He was previously chairman of the firm's partnership promotion committee and led its talent management programme.
