Clément is a highly regarded litigator and heads the Disputes practice in Paris.

Clément is a renowned litigator based in our Paris office specialising in complex litigations with high financial and/or reputational risks and all types of proceedings (proceedings on the merits, emergency/interlocutory actions, court-supervised expert investigations, mediation).

He acts for a wide variety of French and international clients across a number of industry sectors including banking, energy, chemicals, insurance and reinsurance, consumer products, construction, audit.  He is regularly involved in disputes over large investments, enforcement of security, post M&A transactions, product liability, insolvency and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. Clément has also developed a strong pre-contentious and contentious ESG practice.

He appears and advocates cases before all French civil and commercial courts as well as most of the courts of Francophone Africa countries. He has also appeared before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Clément is admitted to the Paris bar and speaks fluent English.

Background

Clément is a graduate from the University of Paris II law school and holds a Master of Law in International Commercial Law from King’s College, London.

He is currently an Officer of the Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA).
