Claire specialises in employment, industrial relations and safety law.

Claire is an experienced employment and safety lawyer with a particular focus on disputes and advisory work.

Claire assists clients across a range of industries providing strategic advice in employment, industrial relations, equal opportunity and workplace health and safety. She has a strong litigation background and has represented clients in a range of disputes and litigation in the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Courts and civil claims in the District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia.

Claire advises on various matters including payroll compliance projects, anti-discrimination matters, safety investigations and prosecutions, right of entry, unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, transfer of business and advice on employee entitlements.

Claire focuses on communicating clear and well- reasoned legal advice to clients and providing practical solutions to complex issues.

Background

Claire graduated from UWA in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce. She has a Master of Laws (Workplace and Employment Law) from Monash University. Claire has practised employment law in private practice, in-house and for a government regulator.

  • advised a regulator on the investigation and prosecution of unlawful industrial action and other breaches of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) in the construction sector.

  • advised on due diligence obligations for directors and officers under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) in the mining industry
