Ashley is a solicitor in our dispute resolution team, who is based in our Melbourne office.

Ashley’s practice focuses on large and complex disputes (including class actions) and international arbitration. Ashley has acted for international clients from a range of sectors including consumer products, pharmaceuticals and energy and resources. 

Background

Ashley holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from Singapore Management University. She joined Herbert Smith Freehills in 2020 and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia. 

Before pursuing a legal career, Ashley worked in Singapore as market research associate with a focus on consumer advertising.

  • defending a global energy company in ICC arbitration seated in Australia relating to information technology services
  • acting for CITIC Limited and certain subsidiaries in Australian Court proceedings relating to a mining joint venture in Western Australia
