Banks

Trusted advisor to the world’s leading banks

Share

The industry is experiencing unprecedented regulatory changes amidst advancing technology, growing cyber security risk, addressing costs of increased capital requirements and the rise of non-bank competitors.

We partner with retail and investment banks to navigate some of the most pertinent issues faced in this increasingly dynamic and competitive environment, providing support by becoming an extension of our clients' in-house legal team. By developing a deep understanding of their businesses and their key drivers we can provide advice that is relevant and commercially strategic.

We work on matters relating to issues as diverse as capital raisings, consolidated supervision issues, demutualisations, mergers and acquisitions, distribution arrangements, prudential issues, regulatory issues, restructurings, risk management and risk transfer schemes. We work closely with our banking clients as they raise and provide capital to the markets, whether by way of loans, capital market issuances or other forms of debt and equity instruments.

As trusted advisors we also support our clients on a range of strategic and board-level projects, as well as advising them through litigation, partnership issues and employment disputes.
