Evgeny has worked with clients on more than 50 IPOs and secondary placements of equity securities of Russian and Collective Investment Scheme companies, and has advised on numerous debt offerings and liability management transactions

Heading the Moscow office private equity practice, Evgeny has helped many clients with high profile pure private equity deals and acting for all key players active on the Russian market. Evgeny advises Russian and international private equity funds and investors, and major investment banks.

Over the last five years Evgeny has advised on more than 40 private equity and M&A deals, including some of the largest transactions on the Russian market.

Since joining the firm in 2008 Evgeny has been consistently recognised by leading legal guides as an expert in his field.Guides: IFLR 1000, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Best Lawyers and the Guide to the World’s Leading Lawyers have all named him among the best lawyers advising on capital markets, private equity, corporate law, restructurings and securities regulations in Russia.

Evgeny’s experience includes advising:

  • a consortium of selling shareholders consisting of Goldman Sachs, Baring Vostok, Vostok Nafta and Horizon Capital on the US$1.25 billion Regulation S and Rule 144A initial public offering (IPO) of global depositary receipts of TCS Group Holding PLC
  • Norway's sovereign wealth fund Norges Bank Investment Management on its US$700 million subscription for newly-issued shares of Russia's second-largest bank VTB in the course of VTB's US$3.3 billion secondary public offer
  • Vnesheconombank (VEB) on four issues of loan participation notes (US$850 million 4.224% LPNs due 2018, US$1.15 billion 5.942% LPNs due 2023, CHF500 million LPNs and the associated swap agreement, US$1 billion notes due 2022) under VEB’s US$30 billion LPN programme
  • Da Vinci Capital, Och-Ziff, Insight Partners, Spinnaker and Alpha Associates (minority shareholders of RTS) on the merger of RTS and MICEX and the sale of stake in RTS to MICEX
