Three Asia-based lawyers have been promoted to counsel at leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

The new counsel are Natalie Curtis (Singapore), Sheena Loi (Hong Kong) and Gitta Satryani (Singapore). The promotions take effect 1 May 2018 and are part of a 20-promotion round of counsel around the world.

"Natalie, Sheena and Gitta are first-rate lawyers who are tremendous assets to our firm.  Their promotions are richly deserved, and a testament to the deep bench of talent that Herbert Smith Freehills fields in Asia and globally," said Asia Managing Partner, Justin D'Agostino.

"The promotions span financial services regulatory and compliance, technology media and telecoms (TMT) and complex cross-border disputes and international arbitration, reflecting the client demand for expertise in some of Asia's fastest-growing sectors."

“As emerging leaders of our firm, their promotions also recognise their combination of high-level legal expertise and client-focussed skills."
