Herbert Smith Freehills promotes three to counsel in Asia

Three Asia-based lawyers have been promoted to counsel at leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

The new counsel are Natalie Curtis (Singapore), Sheena Loi (Hong Kong) and Gitta Satryani (Singapore). The promotions take effect 1 May 2018 and are part of a 20-promotion round of counsel around the world.

NEW ASIA COUNSEL

Natalie Curtis advises clients on both contentious and-non contentious financial services regulatory and compliance matters. Natalie recently relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore to expand our market-leading financial services regulatory practice across Southeast Asia.  Natalie is qualified in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand and is a registered foreign lawyer in Singapore. She holds a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of management studies.

Sheena Loi specialises in TMT corporate and M&A transactions, and has worked on complex cross-border TMT and energy deals across the Asia-Pacific region. She also advises clients on strategic outsourcing and procurement projects, data privacy and cyber security.  Sheena is qualified in Hong Kong and Australia and graduated from Monash University with a bachelor of law and a bachelor of commerce. Sheena's title will be Senior Consultant to meet regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.

Gitta Satryani is an internationally trained Indonesian national specialising in complex cross-border disputes, international arbitration and public international law. She advises companies, states, and SOEs on complex cross-border issues and disputes across a wide-range of sectors. Gitta works closely with our affiliate firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung in Indonesia and is an indispensable link between the firm's Jakarta disputes practice and Herbert Smith Freehills' global network.
