Herbert Smith Freehills promotes Laurence Vincent to corporate/M&A partner in Paris

International leading law firm Herbert Smith Freehills is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurence Vincent as a new partner of its corporate/M&A practice in Paris. This promotion will take effect from the 1^st of May 2022. Globally, 34 lawyers have been promoted to partner, the largest cohort in the firm's history.

Laurence Vincent joined the corporate/M&A practice of the Paris office in 2013 as an associate, before being promoted to Of Counsel in 2018. She was previously at Bredin Prat (2008-2013). As a member of the Paris bar, she advises and assists listed and unlisted companies on a wide range of public and private domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets transactions and on corporate governance matters and shareholders activism. Laurence graduated from the Nancy University of Law with a Master's degree in business law (2006) and another Master's degree in European business law (2005).

Laurence distinguished herself for instance by advising easyJet on its £1.2 billion rights issue, as well as Latécoère, a French aircraft company, on its €222.4 million capital increase with preferential subscription rights for shareholders.

She also wrote with partner Hubert Segain the first practical guide published by a law firm on the inclusion of CSR issues within the corporate governance of listed companies.

The Paris corporate/M&A practice now includes five partners (Hubert Segain, Frédéric Bouvet, Edouard Thomas, Christopher Theris, Laurence Vincent), two Of Counsel and about twenty associates.
