Adviser Rankings Limited (ARL) has published a special report to mark its 15th anniversary, which includes comparative data on law firms’ FTSE client rankings from 2005 to 2020.
As reported in the Lawyer, the firm has more than doubled its total number of FTSE clients from 59 to 128 in the last 15 years.
According to ARL’s latest rankings, Herbert Smith Freehills topped the Total Number of Stock Market Clients table throughout 2020 and is ranked first for the fifth consecutive quarter with 128 clients. Our total number of clients includes 18 FTSE 100 companies and 34 FTSE 250 companies.

The ARL rankings are published each quarter and contain details of corporate advisers and their quoted company clients. ARL analyses various data on corporate advisers and their UK quoted company clients. Advisers are ranked by number of clients and clients’ market capitalisation, both by FTSE indices and FTSE sectors.
