Global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has hired Bruno Knadjian to join its Paris office as a Corporate Tax partner.

Bruno joins the firm from Hogan Lovells where he was a partner. His practice covers corporate and transactional tax matters, in particular domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (including acquisitions and disposals of real estate assets), LBO transactions, business transfers, joint ventures and group reorganisations. He also has substantial experience advising on the tax aspects of capital market transactions.

Bruno has been recognised as an outstanding tax practitioner in the legal directories. In the early stages of his career, Bruno was named the Best Young Corporate Lawyer by the French leading association ACE.

In addition to representing large corporations in a full range of tax law matters, Bruno works with investors throughout the life cycle of investments. Bruno has considerable experience handling tax matters for a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity and real estate funds, emerging and start-up companies, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2005, Bruno Knadjian holds a Master degree in Corporate Taxation from the University Dauphine in Paris, a DEA Business and Economics Law from the University in Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a LL.M from the University College in London.

Frédéric Bouvet, Managing Partner of the firm's Paris office, commented: "We have seen significant growth in our Paris office in recent years. The appointment of Bruno builds on our success in the French market and will give us deeper tax capability in Paris. We are delighted to welcome Bruno to Herbert Smith Freehills."
