Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills is advising Ennismore, a UK-based developer and the owner of The Hoxton, on its US$1 billion merger with French multinational hospitality company Accor to create a new global lifestyle hotels company.

Building on Ennismore’s current portfolio, this new autonomous entity will bring together a set of world class brands, including The Hoxton, Gleneagles, Delano, SLS, Mondrian, SO/, Hyde, Mama Shelter, 25hours, 21c Museum Hotels, TRIBE and JO&JOE. This new joint entity will be headquartered in London, and will continue to be called Ennismore.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team is being led by Ennismore relationship partner Alan Montgomery and senior associate Siddhartha Shukla.

The firm first advised Ennismore on its acquisition of the original Hoxton Hotel in 2012.
