Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised China's State Grid Corporation, the world's largest utility and power grid corporation, on a dual-currency four-tranche issue of notes that raised US$2.5 billion.

The USD notes are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the EUR notes are listed on Euronext Dublin.

State Grid is the largest corporation in China by 2017 revenue, and the largest utility and power grid corporation in the world. It delivers power to over 1.1 billion people in 26 provinces, reaching more than 88% of China. It also operates assets in Australia, Brazil, Italy, Greece, the Philippines and Portugal.

In Beijing, partners Tom Chau and Zhong Wang advised State Grid, assisted by senior associate Isaac Chen, paralegal Shuyun Song and Alternative Legal Services team member Mona Wang. US securities advice was provided by partner Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan and senior associate Jin Kong in Singapore and senior associate George Wu in Hong Kong.

其中，美元债券在香港交易所发行，欧元债券在泛欧交易所都柏林分所发行。
