Herbert Smith Freehills lawyers across the globe have been lauded as "stand-out" talent, according to a study carried out by Law Firm Brand Index Acritas.

Following an 18-month long survey of nearly 4,000 senior in-house counsel, 55 lawyers from Herbert Smith Freehills have been recognised as outstanding in Acritas Stars, an international database of high performing lawyers recommended by clients.

Deputy Senior Partner and M&A partner Rebecca Maslen-Stannage was highlighted as a female star talent – one of the most nominated female lawyers to date. She is one of one of only 13 female lawyers globally and one of two female lawyers in Australia to be highlighted, having been nominated by three or more clients. Rebecca shares Acritas’ hope that more female lawyers will be nominated by clients in the future.

One of the clients to nominate Rebecca commented on her performance, saying: “She’s finding solutions for us across the board not just in our own area. Very client-focused, responsive, practical, and the quality of her legal skills is fantastic.”

Acritas is a leading source of client and market research. The Acritas Stars database is compiled for its global panel of GCs to help them select new talent for their work around the world.
