In September 2017 we submitted evidence to the House of Lords Internal Market Sub-Committee in its inquiry into the impact of Brexit on UK competition policy, focusing on the application of the State aid rules post-Brexit. Our evidence addresses whether a State aid regime may be required as part of any future UK-EU trade agreement; the need for a UK domestic State aid authority; the application of the WTO anti-subsidy rules in a no-deal situation; and the links with the UK's new industrial strategy.
