Experience
As Chief Administrative Officer, Alan leads Herbert Smith Freehills' office operations and facilities teams. This includes managing the firm's real estate and facilities, all front-of-house operations, document production, secretaries and all physical services that support the efficient and effective operations of our global business.
Alan is a member of the firm’s Global Operations Committee. Following the merger, Alan was appointed to the role of Chief Knowledge Officer and was responsible for leading the firm’s knowledge management function. Alan joined Freehills in 1997 as a lawyer. Before moving to a management role in October 2011, Alan was the head of Freehills’ consumer financial services team (now the banking regulatory team based in our Australian offices).
Background
Prior to joining Freehills, Alan worked in financial services firms in legal and operational roles in Australia.
