Jennifer is a senior associate in the Competition, Regulation and Trade group based in Brussels.



Jennifer is an EU and international trade lawyer. Since beginning her law practice in Brussels over 10 years ago, she has worked with both private and public sector clients and in relation to a diverse range of subject matters. Jennifer regularly advises on the meaning of existing and planned laws, as well as how legal rules can impact client initiatives. She also has significant experience advocating client interests in the context of EU and WTO adversarial proceedings.

Jennifer is recognised in the major legal directories, where clients praise her ability "to provide incredibly knowledgeable and commercially astute advice on very esoteric topics" and she is also recognised as a next generation lawyer in Customs, Trade, WTO and Anti-dumping by Legal 500 EMEA: Belgium.

Jennifer's experience includes advising:

  • on trade in services and other matters pertaining to the UK's exit from the EU (hard Brexit, transitional and future trade agreement issues)
  • governments and private parties on matters arising under free trade agreements (e.g. rules of origin, implications arising from rules on state owned enterprises, and market access matters)
  • private sector clients in litigation before the Court of Justice of the EU (e.g., on matters pertaining to accession issues, competence to conclude EU legislation, customs classification, passenger rights and sanctions)
  • interested parties in trade remedy proceedings concerning products originating in the United States, South Korea, China and other countries
  • WTO Members on issues arising in dispute settlement cases pertaining to subsidies, trade in goods and trade in services





Jennifer holds law degrees from the United States and Belgium.
