Fernando Gascón

Based in Madrid, Fernando draws on his impressive academic background to help clients define and implement pre-contentious and contentious strategies, especially in the fields of civil, insolvency and criminal litigation.

Fernando has worked internationally as a visiting professor and guest scholar in Germany, Italy, France and the United States.

He has particular experience in Criminal and Civil Procedural Law, including his participation in the Spanish Criminal Procedure Reform of 2002 and 2003 and his role as Head of the Department of Procedural Law at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Law School.

Fernando joined Herbert Smith Freehills bringing with him deep experience based on an academic career that spanned the below:
