Tony is a very experienced commercial/corporate partner.

He has substantial experience in dealing with corporate and commercial issues, including commercial transactions and contracts, management and governance, and major projects.
 
He has particular experience working with senior executives and Government. He has a strong background in developing and executing strategic plans and outcomes.

He also has strong negotiating skills.

He is the head of the WA corporate technology and intellectual property group, the WA Health team, and he is a senior member of the Projects team.

Tony is also the Chair of Scitech and a board member of the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Lions Eye Institute. He also sits on the Herbert Smith Freehills global Council. He frequently presents to industry and professional bodies and to Universities on a wide range of subjects, including legal issues and social media and technology issues.

Background

Tony holds Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Western Australia. He joined the firm in Perth in 1986 and became a partner in 1994. Tony is also Chairman of the Western Australia Chamber of Commerce IT and Telecommunications Committee.
