Lyn Harris, Director - US and EMEA and Director - Disputes UK, US and EMEA, of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Alternative Legal Services (ALT) practice has been shortlisted for LegalWeek’s Women, Influence and Power in Law Awards for their Innovative Leader award.

The Women, Influence and Power in Law Awards honour top female lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession this past year - whether in shaping the law, achieving outstanding results for their clients, being an outstanding jurist or assisting those in need of legal services. The Innovative Leader award recognises female leaders who are “the thinkers” and big ideas people, those who are creating change from the inside of their organisation.

Lyn’s unique role leading the Disputes and Legal Technology teams across the UK, US & EMEA straddles law and technology and this blend of expertise has enabled her to work with the firm's Disputes practice group in offering clients hybrid solutions for contentious legal work particularly where large volumes of data require strategic management. Lyn is a proven creative and dynamic leader and despite the enduring challenges presented by Covid and remote working, Lyn has helped to lead and deliver significant growth across the Disputes practice group in UK, US, and EMEA for ALT.

Lyn said: “I am delighted to have been shortlisted as an Innovative Leader. Innovation and creativity are critical to the work we do as a practice group in ALT. I am also thrilled for my legal and technology teams across UK, US and EMEA that their unique and integrated approach to the delivery of contentious work for our clients is being recognised as truly innovative.”
